Our long history has been a key factor in establishing customer trust and loyalty. The Jenkins Bakery has a cherished reputation, producing quality craft loaves and breads, confectionery and other products the consumer can trust, day in, day out, year in, year out.
The Jenkins Bakery was established in 1921 as a local family business in Llanelli.
Jenkins Bakery was established by Mr David and Mrs Elizabeth (Lizzie) Jenkins in New Dock Road, Llanelli.
Lizzie was famously known in the town as an excellent cook and the business gained a good reputation for producing freshly-baked quality goods for the people of Llanelli.
The business has experienced many hardships over the years, including the Great Depression, World War Two and the recessions of the post-war years.
But quality always shines through and the business has negotiated the bumps to continue to thrive in the 21st Century, thanks to continued investment in company machinery, infrastructure, shops and staff.
The business retains its family values and heritage, taking huge pride in producing freshly-baked goods for the people of South West Wales since 1921.
The business has now been passed down to the third generation, Russell and David Jenkins, who continue to hold the same methods and values as their grandparents.
High standards were the foundations on which the business was laid.
Those same standards continue to this day. Trust us!
