The Amman Valley Hospital League of Friends were delighted to be able to celebrate the NHS’s 75th Birthday in style with a bespoke cake produced and donated by Jenkins Bakery. The cake was decorated with NHS blue icing and topped with the NHS75 logo and bunting.
Writing to thank the business for the donation of the cake, the Secretary of the League of Friends, Avril Williams, informed the company that the cake was cut by Aneira Thomas, the first NHS baby born in the hospital, who then formally opened the Afternoon Tea event arranged by the League of Friends to celebrate the NHS’s first 75 years.
